Halloween Candy Bag Tags

The other day we received an order on Etsy for a wonderful idea:
Halloween Bag Tags. Lucy drew up a few cute Halloween designs while I
double checked our bags for our trip to her parent's. By the time the
car was packed, Lucy came out with a tiny jack-o-lantern, a ghost, and
a black cat that resembles Teddy after she wakes up from a long nap.
They were perfect. We packed everything up, headed out, and finished
up the tags by topping one of them off with a witch's hat that night.
These Halloween Trick or Treat bag tags turned out so wonderfully that
we're going to make a special posting on our Etsy shop for the
Halloween set. A special thanks to R for the idea! We hope you enjoy

Plush Kitty Paws on Etsy

I've been dying for my hubby to help me post my little kitty paws on my Etsy shop.  Today, he finally did it!  Good job.

How-to Flower Scrunchies, Bow Clips, and Button

This weekend I'll take some time to draw up instructions on how to make some beautiful scrunchies from your left over material and a cute hair bow.

Flower hair clip.
Flower scrunchie.
Bow hair clip.
Flower button.

I'll work on the instructions over the weekend and post them in my How-to's section once they are finished.

Droid Case

Yesterday, I finished up the Droid case for my coworker.  It is completely different from my original idea.  First of all, it doesn't button up, but instead zips up to keep the phone secure.  It is still lined with a nice soft material to keep her screen safe (if I make any more I'll have to change the material because I don't have any more of this...maybe something fuzzy) and also has place to hang a charm or some keys.

Here are few pics of it:

This is the front of the case opened.

The handle is long...too long for the pic.
Tag for charm.

The personalized kitty paw charm on the bag.

Hope that everyone has a happy and safe Labor Day weekend!

As time permits and my hubby is around with a camera, I'll add some instructions on some fun things.  Feel free to leave comments as I update a page with how-to's.

Start Over

Today, I found something out.  Always plan!

I thought a good idea was enough to get started...after many mis-measured pieces, I've decided to start over.  Making this should not be a puzzle...ahg!

Measure twice, cut once!!!
Well, it is a good thing.  Now that I have decided to plan the Droid case out, I figured out a better way to make it.  It is still going to be fuzzy inside to keep the screen clean, but will also have a zipper for holding money or cards.

Back to work.

Droid Case and Fuzzy Paws

One of my coworkers came into work recently with a beautiful new Droid HD.  Even though she had only had it a day or two, I noticed a lot of smudges on her display.

When I told my husband, the eternal geek, he said, "Yeah, she needs to watch out for smudge attacks," and proceeded to explain that someone even more geeky than him could steal all the information from her phone using the smudges.   Whatever the case, I decided that she wouldn't want smudges on her beautiful screen and set out to resolve her smudge problem by making a soft case and fuzzy paw to wipe the screen clean.

It is still a work in progress and I haven't decided on which button to use to close the case.  Here are a few pics and maybe someone can help me decide:

Fuzzy paws and unfinished case.

Trying to decide on the buttons.

Jeff thinks this one is more functional...

I think this one is cuter...
Hopefully, I can finish this up soon, give it to my co-worker, and have a new design for my shop.
